Pinhole Surgical Technique PST™

The Pinhole Surgical Technique™ is the latest treatment for receding gums. Gum recession can cause significant discomfort and sensitivity, and a prominent ridge on your gum line. Recessed gums can also cause havoc on your smile and your overall health. Traditionally, gum grafting has been used to treat gum recession. This is an invasive technique that removes gum tissue from the roof of your mouth and stitches it to the area of exposed root. The procedure requires excessive downtime and multiple treatments.

PST™ is a safer, quicker and better solution for gum recession. With this technique, there are no scalpels, no stitches, and no downtime. The procedure is performed with a pin-like instrument and takes just a few minutes on each tooth. The tool loosens the gum tissue through a pin-sized entry point and moves the gum on top of your exposed gum. The results are immediate and you will heal within 24 hours. PST™ can give you your life and smile back.

Jaw Joint Problems

When the joint that enables your jaw is injured or damaged, it can lead to a pain disorder called temporomandibular joint (TMJ) syndrome. Causes of TMJ syndrome include injury or misalignment of the teeth or jaw, teeth grinding, poor posture, stress, arthritis, and gum chewing.

Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD)

Millions of Americans suffer from chronic facial and neck pain as well as recurring headaches. In some cases, this pain is due to TMJ or TMD. Your temporomandibular joints (TMJ) connect your lower jawbone to your skull. These joints get a lot of use throughout the day as you speak, chew, swallow, and yawn. Pain in and around these joints can be unpleasant and may even restrict movement.

Oral Cancer Screening

Oral cancer screening is an examination performed by a dentist that will detect any precancerous conditions. This screening occurs during most regular checkups but there are additional tests that might be required. As with most forms of cancer, oral cancer can be treated more successfully if diagnosed and treated early.

Our dental clinic is dedicated to properly screening all our patients for the warning signs of oral cancer. We have the skills, tools and knowledge to identify the early signs of mouth cancer and tongue cancer and provide oral cancer treatment options. If detected, we will act immediately to treat you.

Sedation Dentistry

Do you dread the day your dentist tells you that you need dental bridges or tooth extractions? Maybe you require dental fillings and dental implant restorations that leave you in a cold sweat just thinking about them. Thanks to sedation dentistry, you can enjoy a safe and comfortable dental experience without any of the anxiety you would otherwise be subjected to.

Sedation dentistry is a straightforward and relaxing way to get the treatments you need. Our practice is licensed by the American Dental Association, and we are authorized to administer three different sedative states: mild, moderate, and deep sedation, depending on your requirements and the procedure you undergo.

Dentistry for Kids

Children should begin visiting the dentist at 4-years-old. Dental exams don’t need to be formal, but can be done at the same time as mom and dad’s check-up. Our pediatric dentistry services are designed to make your child’s appointments short, fun and a positive experience that won’t cause stress or fear. By bringing your child for regular check-ups at a young age, we can help them adopt healthy oral hygiene habits, such as teaching your child that brushing can be fun along with demonstrating correct brushing and flossing techniques.

Regular check-ups also help to prevent the build-up of plaque which leads to tooth decay from sugars left in the mouth. A child should undergo dental exams and dental cleaning every six months. It is also a good idea to book fluoride treatments twice a year to keep their teeth healthy and strong. We can also use tooth sealants to seal the grooves in a child’s teeth and further prevent decay.

Laser Dentistry

Laser dentistry is a safe and efficient treatment for a variety of dental procedures and is used in conjunction with other dental instruments. The laser produces a narrow and intense beam of light energy, causing your gum tissue to react, either shaping or removing the tissue.

Dental lasers are commonly used for wisdom tooth removal, to eradicate muscle attachments that prohibit your jaw’s movement, help treat root canal infections, manage the gum tissue during impressions for dental crowns, speed up tooth whitening procedures, perform biopsies, get rid of overgrown tissues caused by medications, and remove inflamed gum tissue and aid in gum disease treatment.
