Emergency Dental Care
Unlike other areas of medicine, emergencies aren’t synonymous with dentistry. Regardless, they do happen, which is why we have set up an emergency contact and 24-hour response protocol for our Barrie clinic.
If you experience a dental emergency and need immediate attention at any time, call our emergency phone number and our on-call staff member will book your emergency appointment with one of our dental surgeons.
More About Emergency Care
We care about our patients and are dedicated to helping the Barrie community—any time, any day. When your dental health is at risk, we will do everything we can to make sure that you’re treated as soon as possible. While dental emergencies are rare, they happen to us all, and when they do, you will need immediate attention.
When dental pain occurs, most people head to the drug store to get some over-the-counter medication, usually in the form of a topical gel or pain relief medication. Most of these general medications are mild and only work for a short period of time, however they should buy you enough time to get in and see one of our emergency dentists.
Common dental emergencies include:
- Broken, cracked or chipped tooth
- Permanent tooth that has been knocked out
- Severe toothache
These are only the most common emergencies but there are other situations that could warrant needing immediate dental assistance.
If you are experiencing extreme pain, then please call the Barrie clinic at: (705) 230-0936.
Our emergency care service can only help with dental emergencies. For other medical emergencies please contact your doctor, visit a hospital emergency room or call 911 for assistance.
