Meet Dr. Ng
In the 27 years of being a dentist, it has been my philosophy to truly listen to my patient’s concerns, discuss all possible treatment options, and arrive at a treatment plan that not only addresses their oral health needs but also their emotional needs. It has been my experience that it is very common for some patients to feel heighten anxiety when anticipating a dental procedure or even just entering a dental clinic.
My sincere goal has always been that they feel comfortable in expressing their fears so together we can implement strategies to make their ongoing dental experience with me a positive one. Coming from a close-knit family with six siblings and eleven nieces and nephews, I can identify easily with patients of all ages. I have treated patients, their children, and their children’s children. I have found that dentistry is not just the art and science of the oral cavity but the building of a long-term relationship of mutual trust and respect between patient and doctor. It is nice to be important but it is more important to be nice
After graduating from the University of Toronto in 1988, my professor said my formal education was finished but my true education had just begun. With a critical eye, new techniques and technologies over the years were added to my skill set when there was a proven benefit to the patient.
Looking back over all the years of continuing education courses, I have realized ones education never ends.
What brought my partner Janet and I to Barrie was the abundant outdoor activities year round. I am an avid photographer especially during our travels.
On a regular basis, I can be found early in the morning either at the Georgian College Athletic Centre or running along Barrie’s tranquil waterfront.
